Don't worry bout me Becca I have weathered many storms. Like you said, I'm a tough cookie. This has been the most fun and enlightenment I have had in a long time. I can see a light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you so much for your positve feedback and insights.

cult personality type?
by Mysterious inanother thing that has been intriguing me lately is the idea that cults can help sway people towards a certain personality type more towards a judging personality for example, or becoming more feeling rather than thinking.
i know my meyers-briggs type changed from istj when i was a jw to intj after i left.
i was curious if anyone else was aware of a similar shift in their actual measurable personality traits..maybe putting on the new personality is literal?

This may be so but I'm not happy, and I reckon I have this personality type as a result of the crap in my life. If this is set in stone then, I must find a way to make the most of it. I just don't feel I have lived up to my full potential. I beleive My natural self was washed away or lost in delusion. I used to love people and Used to love going out and having fun. It has all changed. I dare say I have become the opposite of what I was by crawling into a shell to protect my inner child.

These results certainly seem in line with the eefects of my father and the org. In theory I guess Renee would be good company for someone who doesn't mind being dominated, and I would be good company for a cat.

Sorry for that what do think post. I was looking at the wrong post. That was pretty dam good I'm ISTJ 56 for introvert 21 for sensing 75 for thinking and 11 for judging. So you think this is rare. No wonder I feel so isolated.

I feel like he has lived his entire existence through us, and sees nothing wrong with this at all. He beleives if you force someone to do something and they do it, it's really because they wanted too. I do not feel developed in any way as person from a religious angle and from the effects of my dads personality. Also he is extremly clever and very well educated from University. I told him one time that I lived my entire life to please him, never even considering what I wanted. His response was " What's wrong with that" witha big grin on his face. He's amazingly clever and despite my rebellions and protests have never been able to escape his orbit. My brothers included. We are very independant and not stupid either. He's extremely frustrating and my mother has never ever had a voice or influence on us. Sometimes I think he used the religion as a tool to further his ends at controlling us, hoping we would never get wise. I never had a sense of protection or sincerity in his prescence. Sometimes it just seems evil, and yet he has done good things, but it is always to an end and conditional. I now live in a triplex he owns and he is giving me a rent rebate. I just got too tired and unwell living at the Y. Looks like his plan is working on schedule. The only weapon I have is educating myself. Thanks for you input on the type of counselling I need. I will bear it in mind. It has been very helpful.

You are so right J ex W that's the confusing part of the whole thing. It sure is a doozy. I don't know whether to love him or smack him.
